Following a rigorous evaluation process to evaluate various USB drives for robustness, compatibility and encryption strength, Probrand has been awarded a two-year exclusive contract to distribute over 100,000 SafeSticks to NHS hospitals across the UK.
The SafeSticks will provide complete security for all removable storage through military grade hardware encryption, and will be distributed through seven public sector procurement hubs.

Security flaw - SafeStick not affected
SafeStick wins Government CESG CCTM accreditation
The CESG Claims Tested Mark (CCTM) scheme provides a government quality mark for the public and private sectors based on accredited independent testing, designed to prove the validity of security functionality claims made by vendors. In more colloquial terms, the CCTM is designed to assure public bodies that a product or service does 'what it says on the box'.
Security flaw - SafeStick not affected
Security flaws in many USB flash drives
A serious security flaw has been found in many USB flash drive products. SafeStick does not contain this flaw.
The flaw relates to admin back up access and has been exposed by the independent penetration testing firm SySS.

How SafeStick works (unlike the flawed drives):
- The user password is verified within the SafeStick hardware device itself.
- The password set by the user is the sole access route to information stored on SafeStick.
